Monday, September 29, 2014 Schedule of Events:
4:00 to 4:45 p.m.: Special guided tours of the newly-renovated Kotzschmar Organ, Portland's own symphonic pipe organ;
5:00 p.m. sharp: Landmarks 50th Annual Meeting and Preservation Awards Presentations in Merrill Auditorium;
6:15 p.m.: Celebratory reception in the lobby of Merrill Auditorium.
All events are FREE.
This year's Preservation Awards feature seven outstanding historic preservation projects and programs:
  • Kotzschmar Organ (1912) Centennial Renovation
  • Park Row (1835) Decorative Cast Iron Balcony Repair
  • U.S. Custom House (1867-72) Restoration
  • St. Hyacinth's School (1893) and Convent (1921) Rehabilitation as Housing
  • Samuel Trask Block (1887) Site Improvements and Additions
  • City of Portland Historic Preservation Program (1990-Present)
  • Lower Hay Building (1848 & 1919) Restoration of Storefront and Side Elevation
