The Frank Kenyon Centre for Research, Education, and Conservation: The First Year!

We welcomed our first scientist to the Kenyon Centre on May 2, 2015. We are amazed at what we have been able to accomplish since then.  Scroll down to find out what you helped make possible this first year at the Frank Kenyon Centre!

Mission and Goals

The aim of the Frank Kenyon Centre is to bridge the gap between research and the community and to help further the use of science for community awareness and environmental management.

The centre itself is designed to fulfill the roles of research, education, and conservation. There is a lab and meeting space to facilitate research and collaboration, visiting schools are able to use the lab and centre grounds for educational purposes, and the centre functions as a working demonstration site for sustainable development!

34 Institutions have stayed at the Centre
Researchers and conservation partners attending the 7th Biennial
Abaco Science Alliance in January.

What's in the works:

- Increasing solar capacity (we've added 24 panels and plan to add some more batteries
- Educational landscaping (edible orchard, bush medicine and pollinator gardens)
