Celebrating Retirement and a Job Well Done!
Two of our executive directors are retiring - from the same company, on or around July 31, 2018. These ladies have both contributed to the success of our association, and we're going to miss them!

Peggy Cravens, Executive Director of Elmcroft in Florence, is retiring after a distinguished career in long-term care and assisted living. She is married, with two grown daughters and this retirement will enable Peggy and her husband to take many more trips on their motorcycle.

Kathy Franke, Executive Director of Elmcroft of Mt. Washington is retiring to help her mother, who lives in Bardstown, downsize from her home and move into a more suitable environment. Kathy plans to return to the workforce in a few months, but what that will look like remains to be seen. She can't stay away for too long though, because, as she says, "it is in my blood!"

We thank you, Peggy and Kathy, for your years of service, and we wish you the very best in your future endeavors!
You're Invited - Learn How to Thrive & Deal with Stress!
According to author, Dr. Lee Baucom, the pursuit of happiness is rarely helpful in actually being happy. Rather, the challenges in life are what teach us to thrive.

Wesley Manor, 5012 East Manslick Road, Louisville, KY, invites you to join them for a presentation by Dr. Baucom from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m., Thursday, August 30.

Dr. Baucom will share several strategies for thriving, dealing with stress, finding meaning, and living a life of purpose. And, a copy of Dr. Baucom's book, Thrive Principles, will be provided to each participant.

There is no cost for attending the presentation but registration is required. To secure your spot, E-mail or call 502.969.3277 no later than August 17.

Upcoming Workshops: We Need Your Input!
KSLA will be offering three new educational workshops between now and the end of the year. But before we set the schedule, we'd like your input.

Are there particular topics that you or your staff are especially interested in? Are there specific questions about your particular topic of interest that you'd like to have addressed in a workshop? Let us know that and more by filling out a quick survey. There are only four questions and should take no more than five minutes.

Click HERE to take the survey.

Many thanks - we really appreciate your feedback!
