15 years ago in December, the vision of our founder Aaron Hurst became a reality with the launch of Taproot Foundation. Since then, we've been committed to making certain that social change organizations have the infrastructure and capacity to thrive. I couldn’t be prouder to continue upholding Aaron’s vision and celebrate what we've accomplished.
"The fundamental goal of Taproot was to allow craftsmen and women—whether nonprofit or commercial—to be better at their craft. Pro bono is the vehicle and Taproot the driver."
Founder of Taproot Foundation
Taproot has remained committed to changing conversations around civic engagement, resource scarcity, and talent. We're proud of how far we've come:
The magic of Taproot comes from our pro bono consultants who donate their skills and the nonprofits they serve. It's the power of 15!

HOURS OF PRO BONO SERVICE RECEIVED
“Pro bono offers us the chance to grow. By putting the right infrastructure in place, we can ensure that we’re meeting the demand of our communities.”

We're heading into our 15th year looking forward to greater scale and impact. Pro bono can be leveraged to address not only one-off infrastructure challenges but also the bigger struggles facing our communities.
Now, more than ever, we need your help: Will you celebrate Taproot with a gift of $15,000, $1,500, or $150 in honor of our 15th anniversary? A gift to Taproot will allow us to continue fulfilling our mission to drive social change by leading, mobilizing, and engaging professionals in pro bono service.
