Celebrating the Spirit of Pine Tree Society
July 27, 2017 marked the Downeast Feast at Pine Tree Camp. This annual event celebrates the impact of Pine Tree Society and the people who help make it all possible.

Pine Tree Society President and CEO, Noel Sullivan, said, “Our work would not be possible without the support of thousands of generous friends throughout Maine and beyond. Whether you give your time, talent or treasure, your support makes the difference to the people we serve.”

Sullivan awarded the Spirit of Pine Tree Society award to retired US Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills for his tremendous impact on the lives of combat-injured veterans and their families.
"This week is about Kylee"
Kylee is 14 and has been attending Pine Tree Camp since she was eight years old.

“She’s already counting down the days until next year,” says her father, Donald.

Kylee’s family stays in Cabin 6 and has made friends with the other families who come that week.

Staying at camp not only gives her family the chance to be on hand to take care of her needs, but has also given them the gift of compassion and empathy.

“People have a lot of challenges in their lives and, honestly, people are all the same and no one wants to be treated differently. After camp is over Kylee always says to me ‘It’s the one place where I’m not different.’”
We are wrapping up the 2017 Summer Season at Pine Tree Camp and are looking forward to a fun-filled, productive fall. Watch for updates, including next weekend's Adaptive Water Sports Camp on our Facebook page.
