NEWS AND INFORMATION FROM THE CENTER FOR REAL ESTATE     VOL XVII | ISSUE 1

Happy New Year!  We hope that everyone is starting out the year on a great note!  We had a tremendous final quarter of 2016 in the Center for Real Estate which included 10 students attending the ULI Conference in Dallas, TX.  Thank you to Marquette alumnus Paul Monson (BusAd '13) for chaperoning the  real estate students.  We are extremely fortunate to be able to take students to the professional conferences, thanks to generous contributions from the Real Estate Alumni (REALM).

We are extremely pleased to report that we have maintained 100% placement of our real estate graduates for the sixth year in a row!  While the CRE markets remain strong and hiring consistent, this trend signifies the strength of our graduates and commitment to our program by employers. We have no doubt that our streak will continue!

Looking forward to the spring 2017 semester, we have a lot on the agenda.   Dr. Eppli is on sabbatical in Australia until the end of May but rest assured that his classes are covered. In student news, 8 students will be participating in the Harold E. Eisenberg and NAIOP Minnesota case competitions this spring.  The presentations are scheduled for April 7 in Chicago and April 20 in Minneapolis.  For more information regarding the students, please read a message from RE Club president, Alexis Pagel below.

Finally, we would like to congratulate Mr. Jim McShane, Founder and CEO of The McShane Companies for receiving ULI's Lifetime Achievement Award.  We are extremely proud to have Jim on our Advisory Board.

We thank you for your continued support of the Center for Real Estate and look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events!
