READING OF "8" AND TALK BACK SESSION, MAY 6
8 logo

Open Stage of Harrisburg will open minds about marriage equality on Sunday, May 6th. In partnership with American Foundation for Equal Rights and Broadway Impact, Open Stage Artistic Director Don Alsedek will direct a staged reading of "8", a new documentary play by Dustin Lance Black ("Milk"). The Center is pleased to collaborate on a talk back session on marriage equality to follow the reading.

"8" is an unprecedented account of the Federal District Court trial in Perry v. Schwarzenegger (now Perry v. Brown), the case filed by AFER to overturn Proposition 8, which stripped gay and lesbian Californians of the fundamental right to marry. Open Stage is one of under 40 theatres nation-wide that have been chosen to produce the reading. [Read more]
