Another Maccabi Games are in the books!
The 2018 Games were held in Orange County, California and over 2,300 teens attended. Our Columbus Jewish delegates, Spencer Ruben (baseball), Jake Lichten (baseball), Lainey Luper (track and field), Lexi Yaffe (track and field), and Aaron Ligator (Social Media-Arts Fest), joined with other kids from Akron/Youngstown and Cincinnati for a delegation of 17 representing Team Ohio.
The kids participated every day in their sport and at night attended social events including opening ceremonies, an arcade facility, a beach party, host family night, and closing ceremonies. They also made a difference with several community service projects during JCC Cares Day. All the attendees had a great time and embodied the spirit of Maccabi by meeting other Jewish teens from around the country and world.
