NEWSWORTHY
Welcome Jill Bradburn!
The JCC is pleased to announce that Jill Bradburn has been selected as the new site director of the JCC New Albany Early Childhood Education Program. After an extensive search that included national and local outreach, Jill was selected for her excellent achievements in the classroom including the 2012 Shehecheyanu Teacher of the Year Award.

Jill has been a teacher in the JCC New Albany Early Childhood Education Program for ten years, growing in her role as an assistant teacher, co-teacher, and team lead teacher. She began her new role on Monday, June 18.

“I am very honored to be given the opportunity to keep developing the program in a proactive and positive way,” Jill said, “I love the people here. It’s an open and welcoming community who all want to work together as a solid team.”

As site director, Jill will work on tasks such as ensuring exceptional faculty, supporting parent committees, fundraising, and upholding excellence in the classrooms.
“JCC Preschools have been selected as the CBUS #1 Top Pick for early childhood education,” Jill said, “I’d like to continue that path, growing and fostering our goal of inclusion and respect throughout the community.”

Jill has been part of the JCC her entire life. Her mother went into labor watching her father play summer AK softball at the JCC. Her son attended JCC preschool and her sister was involved in Gallery Players. Many days were spent at the JCC in her youth and adulthood.

“The JCC is my world,” Jill said, “It’s family.”
The Columbus Mamanet team is expanding to the Northwest!

On June 20, Mamanet held an open gym at the Worthington Community Center. Players introduced the game, and taught basic skills and game rules. The league is looking for 14 - 16 women interested in getting involved in Mamanet Northwest. There are several open gyms over the next month at the JCC College Ave. and JCC New Albany. Any woman interested is encouraged to attend in order to get as much exposure to the game as possible. For more information on Mamanet, click here or contact Jeanna Brownlee at 614-559-6274.
