Looking Back With Thanksgiving
I'm probably not going to send this newsletter next Monday since we will just have a two-day week before Thanksgiving Break. With that in mind, I'm feeling thankful for the year we've had so far and for the students, parents, faculty and staff who made it possible:
  • The highlight of our year so far is being recognized by the United States Department of Education as a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School.
  • We've been entertained by our Pep Band all year and the first concert for our Band, Choir, and Orchestra Club was amazing.
  • Our fall sports teams have all completed their runs and winter sports are fired up and ready to go.
  • The final curtain fell on our awesome Fall Play Saturday night.
  • The Freshmen held their Day of Recollection and the Sophomores have theirs on Wednesday.
  • First quarter report cards and parent/teacher conferences are checked off the list.
  • Another incredibly fun Homecoming Week came to a close.
We've packed so much into these first three months that there isn't room for everything here.
Sophomore Retreat WEDNESDAY
Please keep our Sophomores in your prayers on WEDNESDAY. They are going on a Day of Recollection at St. Patrick's Church of Merna.
Join Us For A Blue Ribbon Celebration FRIDAY
You are invited to celebrate our recognition as a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School. We hope you can join our students and other special guests on FRIDAY, November 17, at 2:00 p.m. in our Auditorium. It's Enrollment Time and You Can Help
Believe it or not we are already talking to eighth grade families about attending Central Catholic High School next fall. You play an important role in bringing families to our school and I ask that you always be ready to share your story and encourage families to talk to me. Feel free to share my cell phone number (309-533-2200) and e-mail (svogel@blmcchs.org) with anyone you encounter or share their information with me. Thank you in advance for all of your help.
Holiday Shopping For Central Catholic
If you are filling your Christmas List with items from Amazon, we ask that you shop through Amazon Smile at this website. You shop just like you always do, but going Amazon Smile means that a percentage of your purchase goes to Central Catholic.
