October-December Medicare Part D (Prescriptions) Enrollment, Oh Boy!

Our intrepid Information and Assistance Team will soon begin Medicare Part D enrollment (prescription coverage) season from October 16-December 15. Our expert staff expects to assist more than 500 aging Vermonters to review their Part D plans, and assist with their annual enrollment.

New Director of Case Management

Central Vermont Council on Aging has appointed Davoren Carr as the new Director of Case Management. Davoren has been a case manager in our Barre office for two years, providing care coordination services to towns in Washington County. Previously, her career was in law enforcement and hospice. "SHIP" Guru Dagny Hoff Retires; New SHIP Coordinator Hired

Senior Health Insurance and Assistance Program Coordinator Dagny Hoff is retiring from CVCOA after 15 years. As SHIP coordinator, Dagny assisted thousands of Central Vermonters with their health insurance issues and facilitated Medicare Information Workshops.

Dagny has always been a fierce advocate for aging Vermonters and will be sorely missed. While replacing Dagny was challenging, veteran Chris Shaw is now leading Medicare Workshops and a new "SHIP" Coordinator has been hired. Thank you, Dagny!
