Currently, CADTP Registrants who have completed all of the requirements for testing and who have applied and been approved as meeting all the requirements are tested using the current CAODC CAS test. The CAS test will no longer be available for CADTP registrants after 12/31/16.
Effective January 1, 2017, CADTP contracted with CCAPP to implement the IC&RC test developed by the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium. In order to be eligible to take the IC&RC exam you must have a minimum of 315 units of formal education in a college or accredited trade school. In order to obtain the IC&RC reciprocity you will have to pay an additional fee and meet additional requirements.
If you choose to receive the IC&RC International Reciprocity two of the major benefits are shown below:
1.
Reciprocity throughout the majority of US States and many countries.
2.
Recognition of skills and competencies required to treat clients in any setting.
We believe this upgrade in testing will be a major benefit to all CADTP registrants as it will enhance their career opportunities.
If you are a CADTP Registrant after 12/31/2016 you will have to meet the following requirements annually to keep your registration active and in good standing.
•
Complete 3 hours of Ethics Training
•
Complete 3 hours of Confidentiality Training
•
Submit a renewal application where you will identify what you are currently doing to be on track for obtaining the necessary 315 hours of formal education
