PATH Move-In
by Terry Pullan and Barbara Joyner
|
|
On Saturday, February 17, a group from ChaiVillageLA loaded 4 vehicles full of household items to help decorate a new apartment for a mom and four kids who spent the past year living on the streets of Los Angeles. The family was thrilled with all the gifts that were donated by Village members and others. Along with our friends from PATH, we turned an empty apartment into a home for a wonderful family. Many thanks to Myrna and Bill Hant and Eileen Dardick for sponsoring the move-in.
It was another wonderful experience and we want to thank everyone who helped make it possible.

The vast majority of adults want to remain in their homes and neighborhoods as they get older, but sometimes this takes a supportive community. ChaiVillageLA is a vibrant, multi-synagogue, multi-generational community that enables congregants to age in place in their own homes by providing assistance to one another and enriching each other’s lives, as part of a self-governing village supported by Jewish values.
