Hi, my name is Sharon Baumgold. I served nearly four decades as a lead writ attorney in the Second District of the California Court of Appeal in LA. I am married to a former New Yorker who will never retire, and we are proud parents of two hard-working daughters and one son by marriage. We all sing in the family choir at Temple Emanuel and I love dancing and art. Oh, and I also run the ChaiVillageLAFacebook page.

Meet Me at the Movies:
25 ChaiVillageLA members met at the Landmark Theatre to see "Three Identical Strangers." After the movie, the group filled two big tables at Hop Li and feasted on Chinese food. Thanks to Program Chair Lorna Belman for arranging another wonderful evening.

826LA: Volunteer Orientation
|
ChaiVillageLA will be volunteering at 826LA, a local non-profit that helps children with their writing skills. Interested volunteers can go to either the July or August Volunteer Orientation. Social Action-Register Voters at the Skirball
|
Now that the League of Women Voters has trained ChaiVillageLA to register potential voters, we are off and running. Our first social action site will be the Skirball Cultural Center (thanks, Elaine Deutsch) where two-member teams will help visitors register prior to Skirball’s Thursday night sunset concerts. As a bonus, volunteers can stay for the concert and get free parking.
