You know it’s important to make sure that your business can be found easily online, but did you know that your chamber membership is helping you do that?

Your membership comes with a free listing in our online business directory, complete with a link to your company website.

That link makes it easy for our website visitors to connect to your business. And because the chamber website is highly visited, your link has even more value.

Because our site gets so much traffic, a direct link to your site from ours tells search engines that your business is relevant and important, which can lead to a boost in your search engine rankings.

But it only works if your link works. Head to the chamber website now to make sure you are linked. And contact us if you need to make a change.

It’s your membership, own it!

False Chamber Endorsement
Out of town and state companies are attempting to sell advertising in Yankton for their community magnets and maps.

The Yankton Chamber of Commerce is NOT a participant and does NOT support their activity.

Last year we had numerous issues with a company named ATG and they are at it again. We do not endorse their product nor do we include it in our relocation packets. We have quality and reputable businesses in Yankton that do direct marketing pieces.  If you are interested in these types of products – we suggest you go local and contact one in Yankton.

As always, if you receive a phone solicitation and they are saying they represent the Yankton Chamber or are endorsed by them, please ask for a phone number and name and contact us immediately. We would be happy to check out the company.
Summer Construction Projects
Several road construction projects will be taking place around the Yankton area this Spring/Summer, including  West City Limits Road, Walnut Street  and  West 8th Street.

To keep our visitors informed of the various construction projects throughout the summer that will affect travel routes, the CVB partnered with District III Planning and Development, Yankton County and The City of Yankton to create an interactive digital map that can be linked to websites, and will be updated by District III as projects are completed.

The  Interactive Map   has been posted to the CVB Home Page.

District III also created a printable detour map.  Click here  to print a copy and post at your place of business this construction season.

Thank you to District III, the City of Yankton and Yankton County for assisting with this project!

Question “What is owner equity?"

Answer : Owner equity, in regards to starting a business, means the value of assets that an individual has to put toward the start-up. Usually it is cash, but it could also be the value of equipment, inventory, or real property (land, building) that a person already owns and is willing to put toward the business. It's commonly referred to as the amount a person is willing to put at risk, or their amount of "skin in the game".
