On this and every Memorial Day, we take time to remember and honor the courageous men and women of our armed forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice to secure our freedom. Our thoughts also turn to the families of these true heroes, and to all who have served and currently serve in our armed forces to protect our freedom. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

Watch out Omaha, here we come!
This summer, we will be serving digital ads to our target demographics in the Omaha area through a tactic called geofencing. Digital "fences" will be made around the Henry Doorly Zoo, Werner Baseball Park, and Westroads Mall with the goal of attracting young families to vacation in Yankton. This new effort will complement the current Omaha Westroads Mall advertising that has been in place for a year. We are excited about attracting young families to Yankton!
Question “What is 'utility content' and how do I use it?"

Answer : Utility content is helpful information that your customers can actually use, and when you use it as part of your marketing strategy, you position yourself or business as an expert in the field and an incredibly valuable resource.

When your customers start to see you as a resource, you build their trust, you have top of mind awareness, and you become their go-to provider. If you can make their lives easier, they will remember that and a loyalty will develop.

Utility Content Examples:
  • A social media post on how to winterize your home
  • A video tutorial on how to wear a new fashion trend
  • This "Ask An Expert" article!

What questions does your business get asked the most? Turn the answer to those questions into your first utility content posts and become the expert that customers are going to trust.
Take Advantage of Educational Sessions!

Running a small business is challenging. You wear a lot of different hats. You may be the staff accountant in the morning, on the sales floor over lunch and the social media manager in the afternoon. Unfortunately, you may not be fully trained in all of those roles. But the good news is, the Yankton Chamber is here to help.

The Yankton Chamber membership is full of professionals, like you, with areas of expertise that can be tremendously helpful to other members when shared.

We leverage the power of that network by hosting Peer to Peer Meetings, Business Sense & Security Sessions, and offering all of our members access to the Business Video Library.

It’s your membership. Own it!
