President's Message
As you know, one of the Virginia Chamber's top goals for the year has been to update our long-term jobs plan, Blueprint Virginia.
We have heard from more than 5000 business leaders on their priorities for improving Virginia's business climate. We have hosted more than 25 regional meetings and leaders from around the Commonwealth have submitted input via our website.
Our policy team is compiling and analyzing the data and information we've collected.
In order to finalize our recommendations for presentation to the Governor-elect on December 1st at the Virginia Economic Summit, we will be closing our online surveys tomorrow, August 31st. If you have not already done so, I hope that you will take the time to visit our website to respond to our poll or provide feedback via our survey. Your input is key to developing our long-term plan for growth.

As Virginians prepare to elect a new Governor in November, the Virginia Chamber has been working with leaders in the business community to update our long-term jobs plan, Blueprint Virginia. This update will recommend new, ambitious policy goals for growth in all regions of Virginia.
This year so far, we have heard from over 5000 business leaders on their priorities for growth.
As fall approaches, we are beginning to analyze the input we've received thus far and start to produce final recommendations.

Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) Available for Implementation
Commercial property owners, contractors, and local governments have a new financing tool called Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy, or C-PACE, available for implementation. Already available in 33 states and the District of Columbia, C-PACE enables property owners and developers to install high performance equipment that lowers costs, reduces out of pocket construction costs, and brings needed construction related jobs to our area. Since 2009, C-PACE financing has been used to fund over $280 million commercial clean energy projects across the country, and that figure continues to grow exponentially.
