Chamber Expo Registration Opens
As summer winds down the Chamber's event schedule is cranking up - including plans for the 2016 Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.

The Expo is set for November 8 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. Registration is open  for this event, the region's largest business showcase that annually draws more than 140 exhibitors and over 1,300 attendees to the resort's Governor's Hall.  It's a tremendous opportunity to highlight your company's products, services, personnel and more at this large-scale networking and promotional event.

Booths are $500 for Chamber members and $800 for non-members. Reservations are already coming in, so register soon to secure a prime location. The Business Expo will be immediately preceded by the Chamber's annual Economic Outlook Breakfast from 7:30 - 9 a.m. in the resort's Michigan Ballroom. Registration and program information will be available shortly; follow the weekly Chamber Bulletin for details.

A "Miracle" at the Movies
The story of the 1980 U.S. Men's Hockey Team that won an unlikely gold medal is among the most inspiring in the history of Olympic sports.  It's also the subject of our next Leadership at the Movies screening coming up September 15 at 7:30 a.m. at the Bijou by the Bay theatre.

The movie Miracle starring Kurt Russell is the featured film. Presenter Tammy Tarsa, a Chamber board director and owner of Integrity Home Health & Skilled Care, will analyze film clips to show how to build a great team with ordinary people, the importance of knowing your team and how trust and hard work can help it excel.
