We're less than two weeks out from one of the Small Business Celebration's keynote events - the Meet the Top 10 Breakfast.

But in reality these voter referendum politics empower special interests and undermine the effectiveness of local government. Business After Hours at Team Elmer's
Team Elmer's is gearing up for a big construction season but has another "major" project coming up first - hosting the Chamber's first "Business After Hours" event of the spring.

Join us Wednesday, April 20, from 5 - 7 p.m. for Business After Hours at company headquarters at 3600 Rennie School Road off U.S. 31 south of Traverse City. Check how these big boys (and girls) of one of the region's largest road contractors and excavators tackle some of the biggest infrastructure and public works projects in Northern Michigan. Check out Team Elmer's professional facilities, network with fellow Chamber members and take part in BAH's first-ever "Excavator's Rodeo" at the event.

Register for the Kalkaska Chamber Luncheon
The Traverse City Area Chamber will host the annual Kalkaska Luncheon coming up, Wednesday, April 27, at 11:30 a.m. at the Kalkaska Church of Christ. Consultants Mac McClelland and Woody Smith will present "A Framework for Growth and Investment in Kalkaska" to highlight the economic potential along the US-131 Corridor in and around Kalkaska, and its impact on the local business sector and the public.

Another highlight is the presentation of the Kalkaska Business and Citizen of the Year Awards, a community tradition since 1970. Click here to register for the luncheon.
