Where They Stand: The Virtual Candidate Forum
The August 2 primary election is less than two weeks away! You can learn where the candidates for state and federal offices across Northern Michigan stand on key issues facing the region through the Virtual Candidates Forum presented by the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance.

The Virtual Candidates Forum features candidates in the First and Fourth Congressional districts for the U.S. House of Representatives, and for state House of Representatives in the 101st, 102nd, 103rd, 104th, 105th, 106th, 107th and 110th districts. The digital format highlights the candidates and includes their written responses to a series of questions on regional, state and federal issues. Hundreds of area residents and business people have already accessed the Virtual Candidate Forum, so be sure to look it over as part of your Election Day preparation.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.  on Election Day. If you're unsure of your local voting precinct, contact your local clerk's office for information.  Remember that Michigan has closed primary elections, so you can only vote in one party on the partisan portion of the ballot. Questions can be directed to Alliance Government Relations Director Kent Wood at kentw@tcchamber.org
