Thanks All for a Terrific Golf Outing
The Chamber's annual Golf Outing was a hole-in-one success thanks to all our participants, sponsors and prize donators, staff and volunteers and of course our fine hosts at beautiful Crystal Mountain Resort in Benzie County. After a showery morning, the skies cleared and it was an ideal day to enjoy one of Michigan's great resorts and a day of fun and relaxation - all to raise thousands of dollars to support Chamber leadership programming.

Here's a list of our members and partners who stepped up to support this tremendous event - we couldn't have done it without you. Special thanks from our Event Coordinator Andi Wagenschutz to all who helped out. Can't wait for next year!

Chamber Boosts West Side Parking Deck
The Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners last week reversed an earlier vote on a state environmental clean-up loan, a decision that will allow the City of Traverse City to move ahead with a public parking deck at 145 West Front Street downtown.

"The Chamber and its members worked hard to convince county officials that moving ahead with this environmental clean-up loan is key to the city proceeding with long-planned and much-needed public parking facilities on West Front Street," said Kent Wood, director of government relations for the Chamber. "This is a critical project to boost economic development at the west end of downtown. We appreciate the county's participation and thank our members who voiced support for it to the county commissioners."

Here's more on the vote as reported in The Ticker.
