Did you know that Tullahoma native, Adam Cox, played an important role in the Oscar-winning film "Hidden Figures?"
Adam Cox provided critical "set dressing" for the true story involving the early years of NASA and the race to put a man on the moon.  Adam graduated from Tullahoma High School, Class of 2007.  He was an intern with NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, in 2011 while getting a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech. Now in his second year of the Ph.D. program in aerospace engineering at Georgia Tech, Cox works in the Aerospace Systems Design Lab where he has done research for NASA, Boeing, Lockheed, and Airbus. He is working on his thesis proposal and hopes to earn his Ph.D. in summer of 2018.  Read full story>>

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Upcoming Workshop:
Making Service Memorable with Chick-fil-A
Presented by Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce

In 2015,  Chick-fil-A generated more revenue per restaurant  than any other fast-food chain in the US.
Superior customer service drives higher sales per unit, contributing to the chain's ability to generate greater revenue than chains such as KFC, Pizza Hut, and Domino's with more than twice as many US locations.

This workshop will share high-level focus points of why Chick-fil-A excels in customer service and how the model it follows is applicable to any business with any type of constituent.

Stay tuned for the official workshop date and more details coming next week!
