Busy last few weeks for The Chamber!

Quick highlights of the last few weeks:

I attended my first Boys and Girls Advisory Committee meeting. Great discussion and learned a lot about fundraisers and special events they put on...read more

I took a tour of Wellbeing Center for Health. That place is so relaxing and the sounds and smells, just make you feel calmer and I could instantly feel my shoulders lower and I just sank into my seat in the waiting area...read more

I got to drove a car in the Evergreen Speedway's Sean Peters TruckFest (Demo Derby & Fireworks Show). Read more below.
Shelley and I along with a few people from the City, EASC, and the School District toured Natural Factors and Research International. Read more about our tour at Natural Factors here.
The Chamber hosted a booth at Touch-A-Truck and gave away a little Experience Monroe gift bag worth $40! Thank you YoForIt for the donation.
Shelley and a few others attended the awesome Tip-A-Cop event at Adam's Bistro and Brewery! Great cause, great venue, great everything!
Shelley and I had the pleasure of visiting Kathleen at her spa. Beautiful views, relaxing atmosphere, and Kathleen cares so much about what she does and it shows in her quality of work. Contact Kathleen today to book an appointment.

May T.I.M.E. Out event

We'd like to say THANK YOU to Katy and her great team at Coastal Community Bank for the wonderful T.I.M.E. Out event in May.

Our networking game was to guess the mystery guest! Attendees had a questionnaire and were given clues to help them figure out who the mystery guest was at the event. The questionnaire helped break the ice and help every one get to know a little more about each other.

We also had great door prizes:

Truckfest (Demo Derby and Fireworks)

On May 29th, during the SEAN PETERS TRUCKFEST Demo Derby & Fireworks Show - Truck Demo, Stock F8, Stinger 8, Hornets, V8-X, Bus Races, Legends, Vintage Mods at the Evergreen Speedway. I drove the 49ers car in the demo derby. Katy from Coastal drove the Hawks car, Jeff from the Monroe Boys and Girls drove the Rams car, and the Mayor got to drive the Cardinals car. It was so much fun but I was sore for a few days afterwards but it was probably the coolest thing I've ever done!

TriMonroe

We are so proud to announce that Shelley and I volunteered at the TriMonroe Registration event on June 17. We not only helped register some amazing kids that have been training their little hearts out to be a part of this event but we proudly displayed things to do and places to eat on our Chamber table!

Thank you to all the local restaurants that provided menus and promotions for this weekend's event. Everyone loved the table and were very happy with us for doing it.

Light Up Monroe Committee Meeting

Join us July 13 at 12 pm at the Chamber's Office for a committee meeting. Let's start planning what we are doing for Light Up Monroe this year. I have heard some amazing stories about how great this event has been in the past and I would love to see it be that great again. This year there are major changes. The date has been moved from November 26 to December 3. Please join us on the 13th for more details. All are welcome to attend.
