This award was given in recognition for dedication to improving the lives of residents through quality care. It was given through the National Quality Award Program, presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living in San Antonio, Texas.

JCC wins Bellwether Award
The Bellwether Awards recognize outstanding and innovative programs and practices that are successfully leading community colleges into the future.

JCC was one of 10 community colleges in the nation selected as a finalist in the planning, governance, and finance category. One of four  North Carolina Community Colleges  named a Bellwether finalist, JCC was selected for its One College organizational philosophy for student success.

December's Business of the Month is expanding BIG time!
December Business of the Month launches $3 million expansion!

Johnston County, N.C. -  January 2, 2018. Penn Compression Molding, Inc., a national manufacturer of custom molding thermoset composites, will expand its Smithfield operations to include another 30,000 square feet of production space. The company's $3 million expansion will result in the addition of 40 new jobs for Johnston County.
