Healthcare Benefits Now Offered to Members
Many small businesses in our community continue to search for affordable health coverage options. That’s why the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce  is proud to partner with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry to create a new health program that offers potential savings to businesses with 50 or fewer eligible employees. This new program is called the Missouri Chamber Federation Benefit Plan. It uses an innovative structure that enables smaller employers to join together to share in the overall claims risk. This creates a larger self-funded pool providing greater stability and financial protection backed by Anthem’s stop loss coverage. This is called a multiple employer welfare arrangement, or MEWA.
We encourage our members who have  50 or fewer eligible employees  to look into this new health coverage option. It is possible that many employers in our business community could find a cost savings by participating in the Missouri Chamber Federation Benefit Plan.

The first step to take is to visit  https://mochamber.com/mewa/  to learn more and follow the link to get a quick rate estimate. The website also includes a list of participating brokers your company can contact to begin the process of joining this new health care coverage option.

Members currently able to provide the coverage include J.W. Terrill and Crane Insurance Agency.

Chamber of Commerce Partners With
Facebook Community Boost
Since 2011, Facebook has invested more than $1 billion in training, technology, tools, support and research to help people and small businesses.

They are inspired by what small businesses have been able to do using Facebook, but they want to do more, especially for those transitioning careers that require more digital skills training. That is why Facebook has launched the Facebook Community Boost program which will visit 30 cities across the United States in 2018.

They are coming to St. Louis the week of March 26 th , bringing a week-long localized program that will bring together small business owners, entrepreneurs, job seekers and community groups to enable them to learn how to use technology to grow their business and develop new skills. Some of the workshops being offered include: Facebook for small business 101/201/301, digital skills educating, becoming a supplier, financial readiness and together programming to help make it easier to run and grow a business.

The event will take place from March 26-29 th  at The Globe, 710 North Tucker Blvd.
