The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) and the Ontario Chamber Network is proud to be a part of the ambitious campaign, Small Business: Too Big to Ignore.

This campaign highlights the important contributions of small businesses to our economy and communities, and seeks to actively engage small businesses across the province in investigating the top barriers to small business growth - and identify solutions to overcome those challenges.

The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce will once again be honouring the achievements and successes of local businesses and business persons at our 21st Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala. Oshawa Walk of Fame 10th Anniversary Call For Nominations

The Oshawa Rotary Club is pleased to announce that it has been granted permission by the City of Oshawa to organize and host the 2016 Oshawa Walk of Fame induction ceremony this fall and in future years. The Oshawa Walk of Fame established in 2006, honours citizens of Oshawa, past and present who have made significant contributions to our community and beyond.  

Candidates for induction to the Oshawa Walk of Fame are sought through a public nomination process. The nominee [or family of the nominee if the nomination is posthumous] must agree to the nomination, prior to submission.   Nomination packages are forwarded to the Oshawa Walk of Fame selection panel, who are appointed by the Oshawa Walk of Fame Committee.   Past inductees include Sandy Holly, Tonya Lee Williams, Col. R.S. McLaughlin, Ed Broadbent, and Michael Starr.                         

Nominations are now open and will be accepted until August 6th.  Forms are available online at oshawarotary.org or at any branch of the Oshawa Public Libraries.   Nomination packages may be dropped off at any Oshawa Public libraries branch, or emailed to [email protected].   For more information please contact Rotarian Louise Parkes at 905-925-4771.
