Illinois, Iowa Rank in Top 10
U.S. Chamber of Commerce Enterprising States Report
 
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce released the 3rd edition of its study, Enterprising States, which takes a comprehensive look at how states are creating an environment in which the private sector can thrive. 
 
The 50 states and Puerto Rico were ranked on Growth Productivity, Exports and International Trade, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Taxes and Regulation, Talent Pipeline and Infrastructure.
 
Iowa ranked 9th for Growth Productivity and Liveability and 10th in Exports and International Trade, while Illinois ranked 4th in Infrastructure.
 

The Network Launches YP Impact

Adopt-a-Nonprofit Program

 

Do you know of a non-profit that could benefit from exposure and a pool of enthusiastic volunteers? Nominate your favorite nonprofit for The Network's new YP Impact program, which will serve as an adopt-a-nonprofit initiative. Selected organizations will receive support and exposure from The Network, an initiative of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce.

 

The Network's volunteer eNgage Committee will narrow the applications to five finalists by Friday, July 13 and The Network's membership of over 3,000 young professionals will vote on the final two at thenetworkqc.com. The application deadline is Friday, June 29.

AMVETS 4th of July Parade
Entry Deadline This Friday, June 22

 

Hooah logoThe deadline to be part of the 54th Annual AmVets 4th of July Parade held in East Moline is this Friday, June 22. Entry fees range from $25 - $500 to enter as a sponsor, vehicle or float, or as a walker. The theme for this year's parade is Hooah! Quad Cities, and the Grand Marshall is MG Patricia E. McQuistion.
