CHAMBER NEWS
August 2018
Dear Chamber Member,

Many of you constantly receive calls about your natural gas/electric program, often from companies promising you a "lower rate" or sizable rebates. The callers frequently skip over important contract terms and won’t provide you anything in writing or the time to review their offer before pressuring you for your consent. Too often these “deals” result in higher prices.

A disturbing trend is for energy marketers to pose as utility representatives, asking you get a copy of your bill so you can verify their “discount” is in place. Once they get you to provide them your current rate, the high-pressure sales pitch for a discounted rate begins. Only their rate is no discount at all. After a month, they start charging you a much higher “market rate.” Any attempt to cancel is usually met with threat of astronomical early termination fees.

Beyond the constant calls, the continuously changing energy market can make it difficult to sort it all out.

We want to make it easy for you to protect the financial security of your business, have confidence in your energy program and offload the barrage of calls from energy companies.

That's why we teamed up with Alternative Energy Source (AES) to develop a no-cost, no-obligation energy evaluation, even if you are currently under contract. We have worked with them for over 10 years and many of our members already rely on them for their energy needs. They are a proven and trusted resource.

AES is skilled at uncovering hidden contract costs and errors that often go unchecked. They can also help you understand your current contract, plan for the future, and secure pricing.

With shared goals of safeguarding your business, we encourage you to take advantage of this quick review. You will walk away with a sound plan for your future energy needs.

Contact the Chamber at 419-468-7737 or Thomas Hertzfeld, AES Account Manager, directly via email at thomashertzfeld@aes-energ.com , or by phone at 866-646-7322. More information about Alternative Energy Source can be found at aes-energ.com .
