The purpose of the event is to:

  • Create local market and organizational cultures in which women can reach their full potential.
  • Build eminence and strengthen important community and business relationships.
  • Encourage more women to pursue elected office.

Highlights of this year's conference include an address by Col. Kristin Goodwin, Commander, 2nd Bomber Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base and a keynote address by Sidney Bazan, owner of Bella Nut Butters and the founder of the NOLA Entrepreneurs Network in New Orleans. LSUA CONTINUING EDUCATION

TO OFFER FUNDAMENTALS OF SUPERVISION TRAINING

For the second time this year, Fundamentals of Supervision Training will be held on the LSUA Campus. The three-day course is delivered by four distinguished and experienced instructors from LSU in Baton Rouge's campus.

Course Code: PBMFS

Fee: $1195

CEUs: 1.8

Monday, November 3 - Wednesday, November 5

8:30 am to 4:30 pm at LSUA

Earlier this year, 36 young supervisors from UTLX, AFCO Industries, Kerotest, Eclectic Products, RoyOMartin, Gilchrist Construction, Weyerhaeuser, Crest Industries, Beta Engineering, and Hayes Manufacturing took the course. All of the evaluations indicated that the instructors were excellent. And their managers have reported a marked improvement in their performance as supervisors and leaders in their respective companies.

According to Wayne Denley, CLEDA's Business and Expansion Manager, "The COSS offering is important to the businesses in central Louisiana because it is the first time that LSUA has brought this training to our region. Prior to this class, companies had to rely on more expensive courses from private providers or sent their employees to Baton Rouge for five days."

Several spots have already been reserved. To ensure that your employee can receive the training this year, the time to reserve their place is now.

EXPERT ADVICE TO HELP YOU
GET IT ALL DONE, BETTER.

DON'T CHECK FACEBOOK

Drake Baer spent most of 2013 writing about productivity, and when he needed a break he says the thing that kept him going wasn't checking social media or email. Instead, he says he goes for a walk, gets a snack to stave off hunger, or sneaks into a conference room for a brief bit of meditation.
