We are just one week away from the 80th North Iowa Band Festival! Festivities will begin on Thursday evening and carry on throughout Memorial Day weekend. Below is a quick guide of the event's activities downtown.

Thursday, May 24
Carnival Opens, Mason City Middle School Band and the Mason City Municipal Band perform on the Plaza.  Also enjoy an evening jazz concert at First Congregational United Church of Christ.
 
Friday, May 25
Carnival, Marketplace, Concessions. Entertainment includes Mason City Mohawk Danzers, Betty and the Gents, and The Dweebs.
 
Saturday, May 26
Stu Nevermann Memorial Run, Band Festival Parade, Awards Ceremony, Instrument Petting Zoo, Carnival, Marketplace, Concessions. Entertainment by the Mason City High School Jazz Band, Brad + Kate, and Decoy.
 
Sunday, May 27
Outdoor Worship at Trinity Lutheran Church. Carnival, Marketplace and Concessions
 
Monday, May 28
Carnival & Concessions open Downtown

Meet Our Summer Internellie

We are excited to announce
Ellie Schmit as the Chamber's Digital Content / Events Intern this summer. Ellie is originally from  Mason City and will be entering her junior year at Iowa State University this fall. She is double majoring in Event Management and Public Relations with a certificate in Leadership Studies.
 
At the Chamber, Ellie assists with Band Festival, College Connections, and the Chamber Golf Outing. She also manages social media and website content for the Chamber.
