Summer Networking

In the summer, a lot of people take vacation and the pace of life tends to get a little slower. That is not the case at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber continues to offer outstanding programs and networking opportunities throughout the heat of the summer. In fact, a number of our members have found summer networking with the Chamber a great way to generate many new customers or clients as we move into the fall. Here is a recap of the Chamber's summer network activities.

The Chamber offered a number of unique networking events and educational programs to bring a wide range of business people together to make new contacts and expand their business skills. In June, July and August the Chamber held 26 activities for members to attend. The work of finding new clients or customers never goes on vacation so that is why the Chamber maintains such an active schedule in the summer.

Delaware's Primary Election is September 13, 2016

Don't Forget to Cast Your Ballot!  

On Tuesday, September 13, Delaware will conduct its 2016 Democratic and Republican Primary Elections. Delaware conducts a closed primary. This means that only voters belonging to a particular party may vote in that party's primary.

On the Democratic side, there is a Congressional primary, to decide who will run on the Democratic ticket to replace Congressman John Carney, who is running for governor this year. There is also a heavily contested six-way race for the nomination to run for lieutenant governor. There are also primaries for the office of insurance commissioner, mayor of Wilmington and New Castle County executive.

On the Republican side, there is also a Congressional primary. Additionally, there is a race to decide who will receive the party's nomination to run for governor.

9 Holes of Golf & BBQ Networking

Chamber Golf Outing at Hartefeld and Networking BBQ

Here is great opportunity to enjoy a summer afternoon with a friend, client or co-worker at the beautiful Hartefeld National Golf Club.  You can enjoy 9 holes of golf and a networking BBQ or just attend the BBQ.

If you have not been to Hartefeld in a while, you will want to  make plans to join us on Tuesday, August 16.  The upgraded facilities at Hartefeld are spectacular and I am sure you will be impressed.  With more than $1.5 million in comprehensive improvements, Hartefeld National is designed to enhance your golf and dining experience.

Hartefeld National offers a unique atmosphere of casual, friendly relaxation so I encourage you to come and check it out.  We have a 2pm shotgun start that will be followed by a networking reception with a cash bar and a delicious summer BBQ.  The cost is just $75 per player for golf and BBQ.  The price for the Networking BBQ is only $30 and it starts 4:30pm.  .

Join Military Affairs Committee Golf Outing

Join the New Castle County and Delaware State Chambers for the 1st Annual Joint Military Affairs Committee Golf outing on Monday, September 26 at Back Creek Country Club. Proceeds benefit the mission of Camp Colwell, the Delaware National Guard Youth Camp.  The event is $75 and includes 18 hole greens fee, bag handling, cart rental, range balls, buffet meal, and prizes!!  Download Registration Form Here
