YOUR CHAMBER NOW OFFERS LICENSED PROFESSIONAL NOTARY PUBLIC SERVICES

We are now offering licensed professional notary public services!

Why do documents need to be notarized?

Types of documents that may require notarization:
     * Wills
     * Trusts
     * Deeds
     * Contracts
     * Affidavits

Be Prepared:   Bring your UNSIGNED document and a valid, government issued photo ID with you when you visit for notary services.

*This service will be free for Chamber members;
$2 for non-members.

APRIL TOURISM NEWS

201 7 Vacation Planner Now Available:
The 2017 Vacation Planner is produced each year by the Chamber to showcase the wide array of activities and attraction s that visitors can enjoy while visiting our area.

This year's cover features the Blast Off ride at Darien Lake and conveys the fun that visitors can expect to have in our county.  Special features of this years' guide include the City Canvas Art Trail, Batavia Brewing Company, and The Ramble music festival.

The visitor guide is a great planning tool for visitors, but is also very informative for our area residents who may be unaware of the leisure and recreational opportunities that we have right here in our own county.  We hope that residents will plan fun, local outings when welcoming visiting friends and family this year.

The Chamber produces 80,000 copies for distribution at key tourism locations and consumer and trade travel shows throughout the Northeast US and Canada.
  • In addition, 30,000 black and white tear-off city/county maps have also been produced and includes listings and plotting's of those businesses that have advertised in our visitor guide.  The map pads are popular with hotel front desks and area gas stations.
You can view the digital version here.

2017 Dining Guide Now Available:

Each season the Chamber updates and reprints this very popular dining guide for distribution to hotel & campground guests, sports teams, golf package customers as well as conference and convention attendees. 8,000 dining guides are printed each spring and are distributed primarily through the hotels and campgrounds, the Batavia Sports Park, the Visitor Information Center as well as to each visitor who requests  one through our web site.

 BUSINESS AND SCHOOLS CONNECT THROUGH BEA PROGRAMMING

The  Business Education Alliance (BEA) is housed at
 the C
hamber of Commerce.
 Connecting business  members with our schools,  the BEA creates and delivers programs that are designed to create a stronger future workforce for the businesses in Genesee County.

The Mission of the Business Education Alliance is to foster a partnership between business and education, and to assist students in preparing for the world of work.  This is accomplished through programming such as Junior Achievement, business tours for students and educators, mock interviews, career exploration camps, career fairs, job shadows, and more.  Business members are afforded the opportunity to interact with local students through in-school programs as well as community based programs.

This Summer, 250 middle school students will explore a variety of careers through the interactive BEA Summer Career Exploration Camps!  From culinary arts to construction, student will learn about potential careers, and about careers available here in Genesee County by creating, experiencing, and interacting.  The camps are subsidized through donations, sponsorships, and volunteerism to keep them affordable for our students.

The BEA is a member organization that relies upon the support of the business community and the local schools to fund its programming.  If you are interested in becoming a member of this organization, or sponsoring a program or event, please contact Karyn Winters at (585) 343-7440 or [email protected].

QUOTE OF THE MONTH
