Remembrance of Former City of Torrance Mayor, Dee Hardison
Words such as tencious, natural leader, community mobilizer, educator, trailblazer - these are just a few that come to mind when reflecting on the life of Dee Hardison. Hardison was elected to the Torrance City Council in 1986 and became mayor in 1994.

Her career was truly driven by a love for education coupled with a thirst for leading her community in action. All of us at the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce are saddened by the news of her passing on September 30th and offer our condolences to the Hardison family. Dee was truly one-of-a-kind, and we are all better for having known her.

The Hardison family has established a scholarship fund in Dee's memory with the Torrance Education Foundation. Please click here for the detailed press release.
