Who will be at Make One Change?
On June 15, the Women's Centre is inviting all women to learn about the critical issues facing women in Calgary and explore systemic and policy-focused solutions required for change. A diverse line-up of local groups committed to the advancement of women's rights will be leading the day's discussions.

Some of the workshop topics include 'Idle No More: Changing Canada with Culture and Conversation', 'Life after conflict with the law: the truth about re-integration', 'Equality and transwomen', 'Isolation', barriers to women in politics, human trafficking, plus many more.

Entertainment includes drumming, a musical performance, and an art display. A knowledge caf followed by a community social gathering will wrap up the day. Read more...To register online, click here. Early-bird pricing ends May 15.
More Changes Ahead

After months of searching and planning, the Women's Centre has finally found a new home in the community of Bridgeland. The new Centre, located at  39-4th St. NE, will almost double our square footage, providing space for us to grow and house our dreams.

In order to coordinate the move and complete all retrofits required for our new space, the Women's Centre will be closing at 1pm on Friday, June 21. Stay tuned for details on our official reopening date and open house. Read more...                           Photo courtesy of Kristin Boettger

Volunteer Recruitment

We are looking for volunteers with trades experience (plumbers, carpenters, electricians, HVAC technicians, etc.) to assist with the retrofits required for our new space. Your support will help us open the doors of our new home to the public as quickly as possible, which means we can minimize the delay in providing women with access to vital services. Email Sarah for more info.

Thank You!
Last month, the Women's Centre placed in the top three ideas in Servus Credit Union's online Community Ripple contest. Thank you to everyone who voted and helped spread the word!
