PTSA Funded Curriculum Enhancement
Recent Events
Last month the third graders participated in Human Body Day. We had a wonderful group of medical professionals from our community showcase their expertise. Students used EKG machines to check their hearts, demonstrated with voicebox to understand our ears, nose, and throat. The kids had a fun time learning about the digestive system, first aid, touched organs and more!
Curriculum Enhancement (CE)   works with teachers to bring in the  best guest speakers, scientists, laboratory activities, performers, and musicians for enhanced learning opportunities. All are 100% funded by  YOU , our parents; through generous donations to the Walkathon, Readathon and Auction.  Support PTSA fundraisers - they pay for these wonderful activities.
Volunteers needed for Field Day on June 15th
Field day will be held on June 15th. This event takes close to 100 volunteers to make it successful - we need your help !

Please help us make this end of year event fun for all. Take a look at the  volunteer positions and see if one works for you. Thanks for your support of our kiddos!

Note: this event does occur during school hours. Per BSD policy all volunteers need to fill out and return the BSD general volunteer form to Cherry Crest front office (if you've already done it this year or previous years no need to resubmit!). Unfortunately, siblings who are not Cherry Crest students may not attend.

Kelly Bach & Alison Richards (Field day co-chairs)
Deadline to Order Yearbook is June 7th
Yearbooks available for purchase by cash or check only. Make checks payable to Cherry Crest PTSA. Cash & Checks can be dropped at the front office.

Deadline: June 7th

A limited number of yearbooks may be available for purchase at pick-up by the school entrance Monday, June 18th through Wednesday, June 20th while supplies last.
Thank You, Read-a-thon Participants!
Reading logs and funds have been turned in and we are tallying the results. Mr. Steere will announce the prize winners during lunch on Tuesday, June 12th.

However, it is not too late to donate! Please visit the Read-a-thon website to make your donation.

Check out our fundraising dashboard (updated daily) to see minutes read and funds raised!

Corporate Matching of Donations or Volunteer Hours Can Double Your impact
Did you know that donations made to Cherry Crest PTSA are tax deductible and eligible for corporate matching programs? If you work for a company that provides matching funds, please use this benefit to reinforce your financial gift.

If you just contributed to READ-A-THON, remember to double your impact! And you can still request matching for contributions made earlier in the year, like the auction!

Some companies even match volunteer hours! Four hours of volunteering could
earn Cherry Crest PTSA up $100. Reach out to to learn more.

Corporate matching is a large part of the PTSA budget. Please help us reach our targets and maintain high levels of service for our children's education.
