As you may have heard, the Slavin family suffered loss from a house fire last week. Ron and Robbyn and their kids, Aaron, Jay and Katie are active in multiple ministries within our church. Many of you have asked how you can help. You can help in the following ways: keep them in prayer, invite them to dinner, make a *monetary donation to the church that will be held for them to use as needs arise. Make checks payable to Charter Oak Church and write "Fire Fund" in the memo line. Or place cash in an envelope marked "Fire Fund."

On Sunday, December 18 at 12:15pm, there will be a Church Conference held at the Frye Farm Campus. The purpose of the Church Conference is to hear the recommendation from the committee formed to explore the potential merger between Charter Oak Church and First United Methodist Church of Jeannette. A question and answer session will be followed by a call to vote on the recommendation at 1:00pm. All members of Charter Oak Church are eligible to cast a vote. Please plan to attend!
