Charter misspending: When will state officials legislate a remedy?

An article in the June 6 Dispatch by Bill Bush reports that according to a state audit, two now-closed Columbus charters misspent money. Cooking the attendance books to collect more funds than legally allowable was another fraud uncovered by the audits.

When will state officials stop this fraud on the public by giving the charter law a complete systematic overhaul? When will local school leaders, whose districts are losing funds to this failed charter experiment demand protection from this rogue industry? When will taxpayers revolt?
