New Student Send-Offs
Meet people coming to Syracuse from your area!

It won't be long before you're headed to Syracuse University and starting life as a college student.  Want to make that leap a little easier?  Join us at a New Student Send-Off in your area, and you'll meet new friends before you even arrive on campus!

At this fun, informal gathering, you'll get to know other new students from your area.  Current students and alumni will also be on hand to answer your questions, provide the inside scoop on what to expect during your first few weeks at SU, and give you your first dose of Orange spirit.  Parents are invited, too, so be sure to let them know!

To see if there is a Send-Off in your area and to register, visit the  New Student Send Off website.

Learn your SU Traditions!
National Orange Day

National Orange Day began on March 24, 1994, in commemoration of SU Founders Day. Alumni from around the world are asked to show their pride by sporting the color orange on the University's anniversary. SU students and others participate in service oriented activities. Organized by the Traditions Commission and the Office of Alumni Relations, this day has hopes of being a legacy for years to come.
