Health Insurance Requirement

All incoming full-time students are required to have qualifying health insurance that provides coverage while studying in Syracuse. If you already have coverage, please document this coverage as soon as possible by completing a Student Health Insurance Waiver Form online at  myslice.syr.edu . Failure to complete this process will result in you being automatically enrolled in and billed for the Student Health Insurance Plan insured and administered by Aetna Student Health . For more information and answers to frequently asked questions about this requirement, visit the Student Health Insurance website.

Crouse Chimes

The Crouse Chimes were first installed in 1889 and renovated in 1981, the Crouse Chimes are rung at least twice a day and again on special occasions. John Crouse purchased the bells on May 25, 1889, from the Meneely Bell Company in Troy, NY. For 54 years, the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity played them, including playing the Alma Mater at 5 p.m. every day.
