Syracuse Welcome 2017
is less than a month away! There are still important tasks to complete before coming to campus.  This Tuesday, August 1 is the deadline to submit your final high school transcript, download a move-in pass, upload your SU I.D. card photo, and rent a microfridge with guaranteed delivery to your room before your arrival.  For a complete list of deadlines, visit the New Student Checklist.
Download your Move-In Pass
Deadline is Tuesday, August 1st at noon

For students moving in during assisted new student move-in on August 22-24 only.

To ensure a smooth arrival and move-in, all new residential students must register for and print a move-in pass.  The system has been live since July 19th, and space is limited.
If you have not downloaded your pass yet, it is likely that your first or second choice move-in date or time will not be available.  Due to traffic and safety concerns, we are unable to accommodate you if there are no move-in passes left for your desired shift.  If you do not download a move-in pass by Tuesday, August 1st (at noon, EST) our office will automatically assign you an available pass.  Visit your MySlice portal to access the Move-In Pass System.
**If you are participating in a pre-orientation program, international student orientation, Marching Band, or are an athlete cleared for early arrival, you do not download a move-in pass through this system.**
For more information, visit the new student move-in page.

Advice for Roommates

We realize that sharing a living space with someone new can create anxiety and stress for some, but we're hopeful that you will be able to connect with your new roommate prior to coming to campus to get to know them.  You may already have an idea in mind of what you want in a roommate, or you may not know what to expect.  Regardless, you will have some important things to discuss and consider as you begin a relationship with your new roommate.
We understand the popularity of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other online social networking sites but we ask that you not take everything you see on those sites for face value.  We know that a first impression based on social media can often be different from who you really are as a person.  Give your roommate(s) the courtesy and respect of remaining open-minded about who they are beyond their online presence.

Alma Mater

The Syracuse University Alma Mater, under the title Song of Syracuse, was written by Junius W. Stevens, Class of 1895. It was first sung in public on March 15, 1893, by the University Glee and Banjo Club as the last number in a concert at the Wieting Opera House.
