It has been a hot summer so far, and it will likely get hotter!  Stay cool and hydrated!  We offer  a variety of yoga, Pilates and barre classes to help get you out of the summer sun.  Come on in and try something new!

In this brief newsletter, we introduce a new studio instructor and highlight some of our new yoga and Pilates class schedule updates.  There's also a section on our popular Pilates Teacher Training Program.
Introducing Cathy Spell, our New Pilates Instructor

For the past seven years, Cathy has been teaching a variety of very popular classes at The Hills Fitness Center in Westlake Hills.  She recently moved to the Georgetown area and we are excited to have her at the studio.  Cathy will initially be teaching some of our Beginner Reformer Workshops and Mat/Barre Combo classes, and we hope to add more classes based on her most popular classes at The Hills.

Cathy obtained her MA from the University of Texas at Austin and her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. Cathy's Pilates training began with Body Arts and Science International Pilates Education in Denver, Colorado. She continued her professional training at our studio in our Balanced Body teacher training program where she completed the Balanced Body Reformer 1, 2 and 3 training modules. She is also a certified Balanced Body Barre instructor and is certified to teach TRX (Total Body Resistance Exercise).

Yoga Class Spotlight

New Updated Beginner Yoga Workshop Bundle with Marla

For new and existing beginner yoga students!
  • 8-week bundle/workshop
  • Start any time
  • No previous experience required (but some experience is okay too!)
  • $90 for 8 classes
  • Each Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
One of our most popular offerings! Specially designed for those new to yoga or with some experience. 

For at least the rest of the year, we are now structuring the Beginner Yoga Workshop so that you can start the 8-week bundle of beginner classes at any time. So, if you are new to yoga, or if you have previously taken our beginner workshop and are just looking for a great beginner yoga class to continue taking, this is perfect for you!  Once you join the workshop, you will get a bundle of 8 consecutive classes for the special price of $90. After your 8 classes are over, you can sign up for another 8 classes if you like.

If you have a friend that might be interested in this workshop, please pass this on to them!

Pilates Class Schedule Update

Beginner Reformer Workshops Back by Popular Demand

Starting this month, we are adding back several prime-time schedule slots for our Beginner Reformer Workshops. Our schedule again includes these workshops on Tuesdays at 5:30pm and 6:30pm, Thursdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 10:00am!  Space is limited to 6 people in these workshops, so please contact us in advance for availability.

Mat/Barre Combo with Cathy

We have also added a new Mat/Barre Combo class with Cathy on Thursdays at 7:00pm and, starting in September, on Sundays at 1:30pm.  Come check out this fun new class that fuses Pilates Mat with Pilates Barre in a single class!

Nanci Patch, Master Trainer

Did you know that you can train to be a Pilates instructor at our studio with our in-house trainers?

We are the premier Central Texas host site for Balanced Body Education.  Our teacher training program offers comprehensive Pilates teacher training and follows the guidelines established by the Pilates Method Alliance.  We also  offer Balanced Body Continuing Education (CEUs).

Nanci Patch leads our teacher trainer program and she is always available and eager to answer any questions you have, provide mentoring, and help you map out your teacher training program.
