We've been busy this summer!
Summer has been busy at LCS. We have landscaped. pressure washed and made some repairs to the roof of our house in an effort to better serve you. We have also launched a brand new and much more user friendly website so you can keep up with what we are working on - and quickly find a therapist who's a good fit for you if you need one.

Tips for Managing Back to School Stress

It's that time again! Summer is winding down and all the back to school shopping is complete. If you need support managing the stress, the schedules or understanding your children, please take a look at our Child Development Series.
Our Collaboration with Seniors First

Leveraging our success with the Plymouth's Successful Aging Program, LCS will collaborate with Seniors First to pilot the Healthy Living for Seniors Program at the Calvary Towers in Winter Park (156 rent-assisted apartments). This program will survey residents who participate in the meal program delivered by Seniors First to assess current mental health status, needs and access to mental health resources. Based on participant feedback, the program will develop and deliver two 6-week therapy groups, providing participants with access to LCS counselors for 12 consecutive weeks. Based on the results and available funding, we hope to renew and expand this work at additional sites. If you would like to support this work, you can donate here.
Give By Grace

Each day, 20 veterans take their own lives - that's one life every 67 minutes.
...This is one statistic we simply can't read without stopping for a second to catch our collective breath ... and then asking, "What can I do?" Because whatever that is, I want to do it right now.

There is something you can do - something that will have an immediate impact for those in need of help. You can donate to our Give by Grace fund.

Every single dollar you donate to Give by Grace goes directly to pay for counseling sessions for veterans and low-income individuals who are in desperate need of support. We answer their calls for help and respond right away - by scheduling an appointment for them with a skilled therapist. It's what we do at LCS - we serve.
