Meet Our Bankers
Rebecca LeDuc
Rebecca "Becky" LeDuc is a Customer Service Representative (CSR) with Huron Valley State Bank. She is the first face people see when they enter the bank. She joined the bank in June of 2015 and works primarily out of the Highland location.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters (9 and 7 years old).  They like to spend time on the lake, walk, run, bike ride, and enjoy other outdoor activities.  They have a fairy village in their garden and enjoy collecting items for this special space. Her family looks forward to going to Vero Beach, Florida every spring.

"My favorite thing about working at HVSB is the people. I am fortunate to have amazing managers and co-workers that enjoy working with every day.  I look forward to seeing all my customers, especially the regulars that I have come to know.  I hope that I can be a bright spot in their day the way they are in mine," said Rebecca.
Huron Valley State Bank Employees Give Back to the Community - Casual For A Cause Program Raises over $1,400
Huron Valley State Bank takes pride in giving back to the community throughout the year.  The employees embrace this culture by participating in a monthly "Casual for a Cause" program. The last Friday of every month allows bankers to dress casually and collectively contribute to worthwhile causes. In 2015, the bank raised over $1,400 in monetary donations and several large bins of non-perishable foods.

The program assists both internal Huron Valley State Bank efforts, such as the canned food drives during the holidays, as well as a number of community organizations. Nellie Corey, Customer Service Representative and director of the program says, "Chairing this committee is very rewarding when I see it makes a direct impact to an individual or organization in need.  Of course my fellow employees enjoy wearing jeans once a month too.  It's a win win."

"I am proud of the compassion that our employees and customers have for this great community.  Employees will give purely because the cause itself motivates them to participate," said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO.

In 2015, the bank gave to special memorial funds and personal families in need, including: The American Cancer Society, Leah's Happy Hearts, Huron Valley AM Vets, Highland Feed, Dillon Bond, Community Sharing and gift cards to Johnson and Spring Mills Elementary for necessary emergency expenses for children .  This program has been in place for five years and each year the amount collected increases.
Milestones

Congratulations to Cassandra "Cassie" Plummer for celebrating two years of service with HVSB.

"Her smiling face and great attitude makes it a joy to work with her," said a fellow co-worker at the bank.

"She truly enjoys working with customers.  Her sunny disposition makes our bank warm and welcoming," said a fellow co-worker at the bank.

Spy Banker Trojan Uses Facebook to Steal Banking Credentials
It is true that you shouldn't always believe what you see on Facebook, or any social media for that matter. Facebook has established itself  as a trustworthy platform for sharing and cybercriminals prey on this and use it to spread malware. In a recent instance, the banking malware Spy Banker has been spreading like wildfire that way.
