Manitowoc County Kennel Club:  Sign up for our next Obedience Class session taking place on June 5, 6:00 - 6:30pm, at the Kennel club, 40 Albert Dr., Manitowoc.  No dogs that evening - please bring vaccination records, negative stool sample and $70 cash or check.  Orientation follows at 6:30 - 7:15pm.  Become a member of the Kennel Club and enjoy the camaraderie of experienced dog handlers and full access to the grounds.   Please visit our website  for more information on membership and classes being offered to the general public.
 
Lakeshore Technical College (LTC):  Get ready to ride this season with a Motorcycle Basic Rider course at Lakeshore Technical College.  We have the motorcycle training course and expert advice to give you confidence on the open road.  This course consists of five hours of classroom and 10 hours of on-cycle instruction on LTC's state-of-the-art Driving Skills Course.  Classes available weekends, Spring through Fall.  Learn more and register at gotoltc.edu/motorcycle .
 
Fox Hills Resort:  Announcing The Drunken Fox Beerfest, a Fox Hills Event, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 1:00 - 5:00pm.  Come on out and enjoy a craft beer keg party featuring beers from local and regional breweries along with yard games and Greatest Hits Polka Band.  Food and full Bar will be available.   Bring your own lawn chair for this outdoor event.  Tickets are $30 in advance and can be purchased in person at Fox Hills Resort, online under the specials and events tab at www.foxhillsresort.com or by calling the ticket office at (920) 755-3642.  We also have room packages for two available.  Call the ticket office or front desk for more information.
 
The Haven of Manitowoc County Inc. will be holding its annual brat fry/bake sale at the Garden Faire Extraordinaire in Washington Park, June 9, from 9:00am - 3:00pm.  We will be selling homemade baked goods, brats, burgers, coffee, soda and water!  All proceeds will go to The Haven of Manitowoc County.  Stop at our booth and learn more about The Haven.
 
Manitowoc Area Visitor & Convention Bureau:  You are invited to join us in watching Discover, WI Manitowoc - Two Rivers Ship to Shore Premiere at the Capitol Civic Centre on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.  Doors open at 5:30pm. InCourage:  Join us for the annual Maritime Marathon June 10, starting at 7:00am.  InCourage will have a food tent set up and ready to go.  We will have brats, hot dogs, and hamburgers available.  All proceeds will go to InCourage.  We hope to see you there!
 
PINK HEALS Manitowoc County:  We will be hosting our 17th Annual Pink Heals Golf Classic at Wander Springs Golf Course on Wednesday, June 13.  Registration begins at 10:00am, with a shotgun start at 11:00am.  There will be lunch and prizes to follow.  Cost is $220 for a team (foursome), $55 for an individual, and $43 for any Wander Spring Golf Course members.  This is the first of our events to raise money to financially assist those currently battling cancer in Manitowoc County. www.pinkheals.us
 
Lester Public Library:  Browse our Book Sale, Thursday through Saturday, during regular library hours.  Music, movies and hardcover books are 50 cents; paperbacks are a quarter.  Learn the basics of computer science at, Hour of Code, at 2:30pm on Saturday.  It's for youth and adults eight and older.  No prior coding experience is required.  Our Summer Reading Program kicks off June 11!  To learn about all the reading and fun ahead, pick up a schedule at the library or visit our website !

The Crossing of Manitowoc County says the patter of little feet fills our HOME, A Place of New Beginnings!  Our residents currently include three mothers, three toddler boys (yikes!), a newborn girl and one baby boy on the way.   There is a lot of busyness, noise, and laughter as each family comes along side one another seeking change and growth in different areas.  Can you volunteer?  We need evening and weekend advocates to mentor our residents.  Call (920) 973-4357.
