Celebration of Life & "Cheers to Dave"

The chamber community has come together in the past weeks with stories and memories of our dear friend and colleague Dave Hauser,CEO and President of the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce for the past 25 years. We have felt especially grateful for the support of our membership during this difficult time.

Dave was a leader to us all. He took the time to hear us out, to find common ground, & to coach many of us through our careers and businesses, by bringing us together. He is so missed here in our office.

We are honored to invite you to join us this Friday, June 23rd at the Hult Center and/or Saturday as we say Cheers to Dave. The family has asked those interested, to make a donation to the Dave Hauser Legacy Fund. As Dave so enthusiastically noted in personal communications over the course of his leadership with us...onward!

Sister cities connect in Eugene

As part of the region's sector strategy for traded-goods, meeting people outside the area to trade our products to helps the local economy. Currently there is high demand for food and beverage goods produced in Oregon, and Eugene producers that can help meet demand.

Wednesday June 6 ^th the chamber had the opportunity to host the Jinju sister cities meet and greet with three delegates from Jinju Korea. Among the delegates was deputy mayor Gu-Won Park.

Jinju shares similar quality of life with Eugene; it has rivers through the city, strong university presence, a commitment to the arts, and many outdoor activities. Representatives from Lane County, City of Eugene, and local business meet with the delegates and talk about future visits, and possible trade opportunities.

BAH with a Splash of Summer

Business After Hours is back! This month we are heading to the newly- remodeled Duck's Village . Grab your coworkers, colleagues and friends as this event is not one to miss! There will be delicious sushi from Unami Sushi & Asian Grill along with refreshing beverages from Iris Vineyards and Alesong Brewing and Blending . Plus, there will be an opportunity to check out the new club house and make connections by the pool. See you soon!
