St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS) and Michigan Medicine, the academic medical center of the University of Michigan, today announced their plans to establish a joint venture for the 133-bed St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea (SJMC) hospital, located in Chelsea.
The two parties have signed a letter of intent launching a due diligence period during which final details of the joint venture will be determined.

Silver Solutions Network
Volunteer Match Program
On February 20th, Silver Solutions Network held a meeting at the Chelsea Senior Center for individuals interested in making connections with organizations seeking volunteers.
Panel members from Senior Center, St. Joseph's Mercy-Chelsea, and Faith in Action talked about opportunities at each of their facilities.  About thirty (30) individuals were in attendance.   A Question and Answer session followed these presentations and then participants were given the opportunity to submit an application to have Silver Solution Network begin a search for them.
The positive response to this meeting not only indicates the continuing need for Volunteer Match in Chelsea, but also invigorates the community by making use of the marvelous resource  "seniorhood" provides.  Statistics bear out the fact there is and will be a burgeoning senior population in the U.S. and from this small sample, there is definitely an interest for seniors to "keep on going" not only to do something meaningful but to make  difference while doing it.
There will be an Employment Informational Roadshow to contact employers looking for part time employees.

Anyone interested in employment a should contact Dick Dice at or (734)274-1568 as soon as possible to set up connections with employers.
Look for Silver Solutions Network at the Chelsea Spring Expo on April 22nd.

Purple Rose Theatre

Vino Veritas
Mar. 23 - May 27, 2017

On Halloween night, two couples prepare to attend an annual costume party. Though the evening begins as usual, familiar traditions unravel when the foursome shares a bottle of South American ceremonial wine made from the skin of blue dart tree frogs. Under the influence of this tribal truth serum, the couples experience an unpredictable night of unbridled honesty that stretches the bounds of their friendship forever. Join us for this revival of a Purple Rose favorite and our 100 th play.
