CherryArts Festival at Stanley will host Traditional Cartoneria - Monumental Alebrije Xolotl, a sculpture made from vibrantly-painted papier-mache, incorporating modeled cardboard by artist Oscar Becerra Mora. The alebrije, Mexico's version of a fantastical figure, is more than 14-feet tall and has toured throughout the USA. CherryArts is excited to offer this unique art experience and is grateful to the Mexican Cultural Center of Denver and Mexican Consulate of Denver for making it possible.
