Chestnut Hill Farmers' Market
NEW HOURS!
Every Saturday 9am-1pm
Winston Road & Germantown Avenue
In front of The Mermaid Inn
We have a full market tomorrow, ten local farmers and food artisans setting up for our first day of the regular season.
We changed our hours too. The new hours are 9am-1pm.
For the market tomorrow, we welcome back
Landisdale Farm from Jonestown, Pennsylvania.
"We are happy to be back this Saturday at the market," Ricardo writes. "We are busy working the ground, seeding and transplanting in the fields.
"We will still have some onions, carrots, beets, and potatoes from storage; head lettuces, Swiss chard, green and lacinato kale from the greenhouse, and scallions, dandelion greens, radishes, spinach, lettuce mix and arugula. Of course, rhubarb and asparagus too."
And breaking news: we might see the first strawberries at the market tomorrow.
See below for tomorrow's expected line-up of local farmers and food artisans.
Canter Hill Farm:
Canter Hill is kicking off the season with SAUSAGE on SALE! Pork, Chicken, Turkey and everyone's favorite - Boerewors - will be fresh and discounted, so STOCK UP!
"We'll have plenty of eggs, bacon, breakfast meats, pork chops, ribs, tenderloins and roasts, along with lamb, chicken, turkey, duck and ostrich.
Order ahead to ensure your mousse, pate, billtong, droewors, peri peri or stock."
Fahnestock Fruit Farm: greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers, basil plants, apples, and cider.
Lunaria Gardens: urban plant nursery and flower farmer; shop here for plant starters for your home, your office, or your garden.
Primordia Farm: you got to see this stand to believe: bins and bins of fresh exotic mushrooms, jars of dried mushrooms and other foraged foods.
Rineer Family Farms: from Lancaster County, seasonal fruits and vegetables including asparagus and perhaps the first strawberries of the season; look inside the coolers for sustainably raised meat and eggs.
Tooth of the Lion Apothecary Farm: guest vendor this week, botanical medicine and herbal tea blends; specializing in the healthful benefits of native roots, flowers, and herbs.
Taproot Farm: a wide variety of organically grown fruits and vegetables, plus pastured eggs.

Plan ahead for Mother's Day!
Mother's Day is one of our busiest markets in the spring. Talk to our vendors this Saturday about reserving your bouquet, your food, and your gift.
We're excited for another great growing season! Hope you are too.
