Description
 
As Manager, Advanced Review Services, you will be responsible for managing advanced review projects from inception to successful completion. In addition, you will be involved in business development, marketing initiatives, and vendor relationships to ensure timely responses to client needs.  You will direct internal resources to support our business model.  This is an operational and tactical position that operates under minimal supervision and has wide latitude for exercising independent judgment.

Responsibilities 
  • Manage teams of review attorneys working on document review and corporate legal projects
  • Lead successful document review and corporate legal projects by ensuring proper resource planning, identifying and mitigating risks, meeting timelines, and ensuring clear communications with key stakeholders
  • Work directly with clients to ensure expectations are understood and managed
  • Ensure that quality management processes are followed and that deliverables meet or exceed client expectations
  • Actively support business development efforts.  Our Business development team must be able to provide clients with compelling, timely responses and solutions that lead to business wins and generation of revenue.
  • Participate in a variety of marketing initiatives to grow and staff Advanced Review Services. 
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively and act as liaison with colleagues working in a variety of areas, including Electronic Discovery, Consulting, Systems Engineers, Case Management, and Operations.  Provide clear and effective communication on overall project timing resulting in smooth hand-offs between departments/groups, as well as timely and accurate client billing.
  • Provide direction to internal staffing resources regarding the development of internal contingent review attorney staff, as needed to meet business growth/demand; mentor and train contingent review attorney staff Depending upon the project, second shift or weekend work may be necessary 

Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's Degree; JD with attorney licensure from any state preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience successfully managing large scale document reviews within a law firm and/or as vendor, to include personnel and budget management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects and manage conflicting priorities
  • Experience utilizing document review software on large scale projects (e.g., EDR or Relativity)
  • Team management skills, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Tactical and operational experience creating or setting up large scale review teams, processes, and resource supports to handle multiple concurrent review projects that may be geographically diverse.
  • Expert ability to exercise independent judgment utilizing critical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills (verbal, written, listening, presentation) with clients, business leaders, internal team members
  • Time management, problem solving, organizational and decision making skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Availability to travel up to 30%
