Dear Friend,

Our resident at Children of the Night did not make the final cut to visit The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and tour the CIA Headquarters in Langley, VA this summer.
But that didn't stop her from attending Leadership and the Law camp at one of the world's leading academic institutions which prepares citizens to lead and make a difference in the world.
Here at Children of the Night we teach our children how to bounce back from disappointments and how to work around gatekeepers who try to close doors of opportunity.

The spirit of "raising children" at Children of the Night may best be expressed in the words of Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. (26th President of the U.S.) "Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground."

Children of the Night has led the revolution of breaking the control pimp/traffickers/gang members hold over the children they force to prostitute. 

We brought the solution and resources to law enforcement decades before the phrase "sex trafficking" was even invented. And our relationship with law enforcement nationwide remains strong.

 

Children of the Night is a place where prostituted children are cared for prior, during and after the grand juries and federal and state trials required to remove dangerous criminals from the streets of our city.

Children of the Night is the only place in North America where a child can call from a seedy motel or truck stop anywhere in the United States, reach a skilled child care worker 24/7, who knows how to intervene with the police, escape from a dangerous condition with our help, take pre-arranged transportation to an airport, board a pre-paid airline, meet a child care worker at Los Angeles International Airport and arrive in the safe, loving, nurturing Children of the Night home within 24 hours of his/her initial call for help.

 

Children of the Night has rescued more than 10,000 American children from sex trafficking/prostitution right here in the United States--that is more children than all of the other sex trafficking programs combined.

 

For 37 years, Children of the Night has been doing what it does best - providing real life changing services to the children who have been victimized by this horrific crime. We were created because there was no government response or government grants to help these children -- today government tactics are absolutely cruel.
 
We spend 87% of our funds on the care and supervision of the children we serve; not on legislation, fancy academic studies or the hideous myths associated with the promotion of unsubstantiated data on sex trafficking.

Children of the Night is the real deal and we exist because you make us available to children and families who have nowhere else to turn for help.
